Two-Vehicle Crash near Santa Maria
On Monday, a two-vehicle crash near Santa Maria sent two people to the hospital with moderate to severe injuries. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the incident happened just after 6:00 a.m. at Brown and Betteravia Roads. Officials with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) report that a sedan and an SUV were involved in this wreck.
Although very little information has been released about this crash, we do know that the SUV overturned. First responders with the Santa Barbara County Fire Department had to extricate victims from the wreckage. One of the victims was seriously injured, and the other was moderately injured. They were both taken to local hospitals for treatment of injuries, although there is no word on their current conditions. The cause of this crash is still under investigation with authorities.
