Teen Killed in Santa Maria Crash

On Friday night, a one-car crash took the life of one teen and sent at least two others to the hospital. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the crash happened sometime before 9:00 p.m. on East Donovan Road and Suey Crossing, after the teens left a Pioneer Valley High School basketball game. For currently unknown reasons, the car crashed into a light pole.

Although first responders were swiftly on the scene, the 17-year-old teen driver did not survive her injuries. Extensive extrication was needed to remove at least two of the victims from the wreckage. There’s no word on the injured teens’ current conditions or the extent of their injuries.
